Whether you've got a three-day weekend coming up that you want to take advantage of or you're looking for a getaway from Manchester, MA, we have some suggestions to make the most of your weekend trip.

1. Boston, MA

Even though Boston is close by, we don’t always make it into the city as much as we’d like. Taking in the hustle and bustle, historic sites, and all of the amazing local food is always a good time. Head into the North End for a quaint neighborhood full of amazing Italian food and historic buildings.

2. Plymouth, MA

One of the most historic sites in the country, Plymouth is just south of Boston. Founded in 1620 as the first Pilgrim settlement, you’ll be able to take in the historical significance of the boulder the first Pilgrims touched as they came ashore. There’s also a replica of the ship that carried those Pilgrims across the ocean! 

3. Cape Cod, MA

Enjoy quaint harbors, windy beaches, and flashing lighthouses while you relax in the quintessential coastal town. Cape Cod is famous for its seafood, so make sure to make your way to some of the many local restaurants for some classic New England fare.

4. Portland, ME

You’ll love the local food scene here (seafood galore!) Make sure to make up to Western Promenade for stunning views. You’ll find shopping, museums, lighthouses, and art galleries here.

5. Saratoga Springs, NY 

Saratoga Springs is the farthest destination on our list, but it’s worth the trip! It’s a hub for horse racing, so you’ll find lots of horses, the track and museums. At the state park, look for the mineral baths and the beautiful concert venue.
