Ring in 2023 this Weekend with these Local Events
Looking for some last minute ideas of what to do this weekend? The weather is primed for spending time outside and soaking in the end of 2022 and preparing for a fresh start, ringing in 2023. We rounded up some fun local events to check out this weekend:
Salem Frozen Fire Festival
Free to enter and full of fun things to do for the entire family, this is an event you don't want to miss this weekend. Offers 2 curing courts, live performances, vendors, fire pits, igloos (ticketed), beer& wine, and a s'mores & cocoa bar. The event also offers VIP packages for premier experiences.
Beverly's New Year's Celebration
Activities will take place on Saturday, December 31st from 3PM - 7PM on Cabot St, in the heart of downtown Beverly. The event schedule offers a variety of activities for the whole family and concludes with a parade and ball drop on Cabot Street.

Rockport New Year's Eve
Spread across 14 venues in downtown Rockport, this event, taking place on Saturday, December 31, will feature around 30 performers from 6:00pm to midnight. The evening will culminate with a midnight ball drop in Dock Square. There will also be plenty of children’s entertainment which concludes with an early New Year celebration at 8:45.

Gloucester Countdown to 2023
Help Gloucester ring in its 400th year with it's Countdown to 2023 event on Saturday, December 31 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at City Hall. This free event includes hot chocolate, cookies, and noisemakers. A ball drop celebration will take place at 7PM to coincide with the ringing of the new year in Gloucester, England.

Winter Lights in Cape Ann
Take a tour of our beautiful hometowns and view the lovely light displays throughout. There are over 100 lighted locations to check out this holiday season, which you can find on the event's website. Pick your favorite decorated business in each of the five participating communities for a chance to win a prize.

ZooLights at Stone Zoo
Though not in our part of the North Shore, we highly recommend checking out ZooLights at Stone Zoo! Stone Zoo's 26 acres are transformed into a winter wonderland, with thousands of gorgeous twinkling lights along its tree-lined paths.
