Inventory was the heavy influencer on the stats from the month of January - with almost all cities and towns seeing a big decrease in new listings that hit the market in January. This had buyers picking up inventory leftover from the previous year, as they were left with very few options - this impacted the days to offer figure, as well as the average price- as homes that sit for longer tend not to have a wild over-ask bidding war.
